If you’re traveling on a budget and plan on exploring Tashkent city then ideally you’ll stay close to a metro station. Metro station tickets cost only 1,400 Uzbek Som (roughly $0.12), making it an incredibly cheap way to explore the city.
Many cheap hotels in Tashkent are located in and around the Mirabad district so hotels close to Kosmonavtlar and Ming O’rik metro stations are ideals spots.
